How To Harness Your Now For Your Tomorrow

This most important gift we have is ‘Now’. This very minute we have been given the opportunity to thoroughly influence our future. Our present is a seed for our future; our today births our tomorrow. The disheartening thing is that most people have spent their now doing nothing about their tomorrows. And some others have made dreaming and imagining a full-time job. No one is saying don’t dream, but the question is this: What are you doing today to make your picture of tomorrow a reality?

A dream is like a destination. You don’t just key in our destination into your GPS, sit in the driver’s seat and expect to get there. You must start the car and drive!

  • Write your dreams and visions down. The more you see them, the more they fit together. Read more about the ‘Dream Book’ here and here.

  • Make a daily plan of actions and habits that will lead up to your future.

Excellence is not a singular act, but a habit. You are what you repeatedly do. Shaquille O'Neal
  • Take a toll of what skills you have now. It’s great to know what you can and cannot do, and in doing this know what new skill sets you need to develop. I remember when I wanted to float my graphic design company, I had to sit down and really be frank about what I could do, and what new techniques I needed to learn to be the best option for my clients. It paid off and still does.

  • Re-evaluate. Re-strategize. Re-organized. Re-launch. The only constant thing is change. Life is full of options. If one way doesn’t lead to our desired end, one other way will do so. Always go through your plan and lines of actions. They might need tweaking from time to time.

  • Prayer is a weapon of unlimited possibilities. Use it! Pray like your life depends on it. Come to think of it: it does!

  • The greatest thing to do about a dream is ACT NOW! Don’t wait for everything to fall into place; they rarely do!

Your now will birth your then. Make every second count. The ball is in your court!
